Service Description
In this lesson, students will be introduced to the basic principles of Japanese Ikebana through the Sogetsu style of Kakeiho. We will explore the natural characteristics of different plant materials and learn how line, space, height, width and depth work together to create a three-dimensional composition. Students will be introduced to the three main stems, known as Shushi, and learn how different lengths and angles can create movement and harmony. By practising the basic Upright and Slanting styles, students will develop a strong foundation while learning to observe and appreciate the beauty of nature. We offer a highly personalized approach to the traditional Japanese art of floral design, emphasizing modern and sculptural arrangements.
